After going to the fourth wedding since we were engaged, Martha and I set up her (soon-to-be our) apartment in a much more husband-friendly arrangement. The picture above was snapped in the middle of the shuffle.

Martha and I have just posted the schedule of activities leading up to the big day. If you’re in town, we’d love to see you at one or more of them!
Martha and I finally got a new camera. While it’s handy to have the option of fixing one’s camera with duct tape, we decided we’d go up-town and get one of the new duct-tape-free models. Here’s a gallery with the first few shots I took.
Today Martha and I will have our engagement pictures taken. And I just had my finger sized. Sheesh. This stuff is a full-time job.

Last week Martha and I went to the Hall of Records to get our marriage license. Can you feel the date sneaking up on you? Or is that just me?
My first post to zachandmartha! Guess there’s been a few things going on. . .
Things are really falling into place! If you look at the wedding as an outline, we’ve got all the major bullets confirmed. Date? Check. Church? Check. Dress? Check. Preacher? Check. Bride and Groom? Check and check!
Now that the big stuff is done, we’re really starting to have fun with all of this. It’s been great hearing from folks who have already booked flights and reserved hotels*; I’ve even heard that a few are packing their clubs for some winter rounds of golf! Fantastic! Our goal over the next few days is to iron out details for some fun group activities the few days leading up to the wedding. We’d love for you to arrive here early, enjoy Santa Barbara, and get to know all the amazing people traveling from all over to celebrate with us. We are honored to have you with us and can’t wait to see you!
*If you haven’t reserved any of the above, we really encourage you to do so. Please let us know if you need any help or recommendations or even try t0 hook you up with a roommate!
You’ll note a new link to the left, below the reception link—it’s the long-awaited lodging information! We will be adding more as time goes on, but it should give you a basic idea of the lower-priced options in Santa Barbara.
As an aside, I’ve posted new pictures to the O.C. Engagement Party gallery. The new ones start on page 2.
The Holts and Eatons went to Santa Barbara this weekend. Here’s a gallery with the photos I’ve collected so far (thanks, Mike!)
All systems are go for December 31, 2007. More details to come, but if you’ve been holding off on buying plane tickets (Amir), hold off no longer!
Just a note to let you know that we are moving right along with our planning. We should have hotel information online very soon for those of you who are coming from outside the area.
And for those of you who are local, word is that an engagement party will be happening in the middle of August. More details to come!
